The USDA Foods Nutrition Education Resource Library provides program-specific, nutrition education resources for FDPIR administering agencies.

The Integrated Food Management System replaces the legacy, Automated Inventory System. IFMS consolidates food distribution transactions into a seamless, easy-to-use cloud-based platform.

This gallery contains handouts such as infographics, brochures, and factsheets on a variety of nutrition education topics developed by the National Council on Aging, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, and U.S. Department of Agriculture. 

This gallery features links to outside organizations that provide programming, funding, or resources specifically tailored to ITOs. These organizations often link to additional resources and can be a source to help identify partners for future nutrition-related projects or initiatives.

FNS hosted a webinar to provide state agencies and food banks with information about how TEFAP can support cultural and religious practices around food, particularly those serving kosher and halal observant communities. The webinar featured panelists from state agencies and food banks who have successfully implemented processes to serve these specific communities.

FNS hosted a second webinar to provide program stakeholders with additional information on supporting kosher observant communities through TEFAP. 

CSFP works to improve the health of low-income persons at least 60 years of age by supplementing their diets with nutritious USDA Foods. Visit the CSFP homepage to learn more about the program. Materials in the gallery are shared here to help agencies provide more nutrition and food information to CSFP participants.

The Food Distribution Program on Indian Reservations Sharing Gallery is a source of inspiration and sharing of nutrition education materials, recipes, photos, news, grant opportunities, and other resources for Tribes participating in FDPIR.

Since 2008, FNS has been awarding funding for nutrition education projects through the FDPNE grants each fiscal year. Indian Tribal Organizations and state agencies that are current FDPIR allowance holders (have a direct agreement with FNS to administer FDPIR) are eligible to apply for funds to conduct projects that provide nutrition information and services to FDPIR participants. Effective FY 2023, the FDPNE competitive grant program is discontinued.

The USDA Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS) will discontinue the requirement for vendors to use high security seals to secure USDA Foods deliveries as of July 1, 2023.
