Congress passed a law in late 2022 to help SNAP participants who are victims of card skimming, cloning and other similar methods. The Agricultural Improvement Act of 2018 (the 2018 Farm Bill), Section 4015 Longitudinal Data for Research, approved building state longitudinal research databases containing participation information about SNAP individuals and households.

quarterly, as soon as possible following receipt.
FNS is working closely with our state and federal partners, SNAP retailers, EBT processors, and other industry experts to protect SNAP benefits and combat SNAP fraud.
