FNS issued eight child nutrition programs off-site monitoring fact sheets to assist states and sponsors in conducting off-site monitoring of child nutrition programs during the pandemic. These documents include a fact sheet that has background information on all programs, as well as separate facts sheets for state and local operators for each program.

Under Families First Coronavirus Response Act, FNS is allowing states during unanticipated school closures to waive the requirement in the summer feeding programs that “open site” meal service is limited to areas with at least half of the children in the area are in low-income households.

This memorandum is meant to provide clarification and guidance on policies and procedures for donated food storage and distribution as they relate to product dating.

English and Spanish versions of, "The Food Allergy Book: What School Employees Need to Know". Written by NEA Healthy Futures, a nonprofit organization affiliated with the National Education Association. 

The  practices addressed in this document will help program operators enhance the safety of fruits and  vegetables grown in school gardens.
