This webinar focuses on meal cost estimates at the SFA level, which reflect costs for the typical or average SFA. The webinar also presents findings on total foodservice revenues at the SFA level, which includes revenues from all sources. 

The findings described in this webinar are based on two analyses. One that estimated the percentage of daily and weekly lunch menus that met the updated nutrition standards, and another that examined the nutritional quality of the lunches using the Healthy Eating Index-2010.

This webinar focuses on findings related to school meal program operations, including: SFAs’ views on the updated nutrition standards and challenges faced in implementing them; schools’ participation in child nutrition programs; average student participation rates; locations where breakfast is offered; prices charged for paid meals, which are meals purchased by students who are not certified to receive meals free or at a reduced price; and the length of meal periods.  

This information collection consists of five components of state agency reporting and/or recordkeeping: A budget projection statement, a program activity report, state plans of operation updates, waiver requests, and other plans and submissions such as advance planning documents for information systems and for electronic benefit transfer (EBT) systems.

This webinar discusses recent updates and provides guidance on the USDA Department of Defense (DoD) Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program. Topics covered include: program allocations, adding new schools to Fresh Fruits and Vegetables Order Receipt System (FFAVORS), receipting orders in FFAVORS, and managing school food authority (SFA) expectations. This webinar is intended for FNS regional office and state distributing agency staff who manage USDA Foods in Schools programs.

In accordance with the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995, this notice invites the general public and other public agencies to comment on this proposed information collection. This is a revision of a currently approved collection codified in Food and Nutrition Service regulations.

This Notice supersedes the notice published in the Aug. 7, 2019 issue of the Federal Register entitled National School Lunch, Special Milk, and School Breakfast Programs, National Average Payments/Maximum Reimbursement Rates (FR Doc. 84-38590). It establishes new reimbursement rates for Guam and Virgin Islands to match the reimbursement rate provided to Puerto Rico, and corrects an incorrect date.
