State agency summaries for the non-competitive Technology Innovation Grants (nTIGs) awarded FY 21.

USDA is committed to providing nutrition assistance to hard-hit families across the country due to the coronavirus pandemic. In support of President Biden’s call to action on hunger, USDA announced that it is increasing the Pandemic EBT benefit by approximately 15 percent, providing more money for low-income families and millions of children missing meals due to school and child care closures.

This map displays census data and can be used for tiering of participating CACFP day care homes and eligibility of SFSP summer sites. 

State agencies used these grants to implement and evaluate nutrition education, meal service training, and environmental changes in school or child care settings. This booklet showcases only a small portion of the wide array of grantee activities conducted.

On Aug.16, 2023, FNS announced the award of $9.4 million in federal funding for the FY 2023 Team Nutrition Grant for Supporting Nutrition Education for School-Aged Children.

USDA Food and Nutrition Service expects to award approximately $9.6 million in total funding.
