Hear from state agency and provider staff about what they think makes a workforce development service provider a good fit for SNAP E&T and learn about a new FNS tool to help states think about good providers for their E&T programs. 

This link provides historical data on authorized SNAP retailers. The data file includes retailer name, type, address, location and authorization dates for retailers that were authorized to accept SNAP benefits at any point since 1990.

On Oct. 13, 2022 FNS held an initial webinar outlining the initial implementation plans for State SNAP agencies to onboard to the National Accuracy Clearinghouse (NAC) system. 

On Oct. 6, 2022, FNS held an initial webinar outlining the requirements of the newly published National Accuracy Clearinghouse (NAC) regulations contained in the Interim Final Rule: SNAP: Requirement for Interstate Data Matching to Prevent Duplicate Issuances.

In an effort to help states prepare for the eventual end of the federal public health emergency, FNS hosted a webinar to share lessons learned from state agencies that have ended emergency allotments.

All retailers, including internet retailers, must abide by the FNS retailer stocking requirements in order to be authorized. In addition, SNAP-eligible retailers who want to add online shopping to their ecommerce platform must meet online purchasing requirements. FNS provides the attached guidance to state agencies to answer state questions on screening and referral, improve compliance with the regulations, and provide a more accountable E&T program to participants served.

USDA is committed to providing nutrition assistance to hard-hit families across the country due to the coronavirus pandemic. In support of President Biden’s call to action on hunger, USDA announced that it is increasing the Pandemic EBT benefit by approximately 15 percent, providing more money for low-income families and millions of children missing meals due to school and child care closures.
