During the inaugural year of Farm to Food Bank Project funding, FNS allocated $3,752,000 amongst the 19 TEFAP state agencies that submitted plans to implement Farm to Food Bank Projects. These 19 state agencies are identified in this resource. 

This memorandum transmits the 2020 Income Guidelines for state agencies and ITOs in determining the eligibility of individuals applying to participate in the Commodity Supplemental Food Program. 

The purpose of this memorandum is to clarify which student financial assistance programs are excluded as income for the purposes of determining eligibility under FDPIR. 

This memorandum provides revised policy guidance on certification periods pertaining to zero income households in FDPIR. FNS Handbook 501 provides that households who report zero income month after month must be asked as to how they sustain themselves and other household members.

The purpose of this memorandum is to provide questions and answers to help Indian Tribal Organizations and state agencies implement provisions of the final rule: Food Distribution Program on Indian Reservations: Income Deductions & Resource Eligibility.

USDA Food and Nutrition Service policy memo SP 26-2013, "Extending Flexibility in the Meat/Meat Alternate and Grains Maximums for School Year 2013-14" extends the flexibility regarding Meat/Meat Alternate (M/MA) maximums for SY 2013-13, allowing state agencies to assess compliance based on the minimum daily and weekly serving requirements only.  

This memorandum is being released on the direction of the Consolidated and Further Continuing Appropriations Act of 2012 (PL 112-255), Conference Report 112-284. This policy memo clarifies the TEFAP regulations at 7 CFR Part 251.5(b).  

FD-116: Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP), Food Distribution Program in Indian Reservations (FDPIR), and The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP)

The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009  created the Filipino Veterans Equity Compensation Fund for certain veterans, or surviving spouses of veterans, who served in the military of the Government of the Commonwealth of the Philippines during World War II. 

Per CSFP regulations, participants are prohibited from receiving CSFP benefits and WIC benefits at the same time. However, there is no prohibition against simultaneous participation in CSFP and other FNS programs including but not limited to SNAP, TEFAP, and the SFMNP, provided the eligibility requirements for these programs are met.
