We were asked by the FCC to issue a reminder about cooperating with contractors auditing school districts’ receipt of funds under the FCC’s E-Rate fund.  Auditing for the current cycle is scheduled to begin in December 2008.

In this memorandum, we present several options for consideration by the distributing agency to help ensure that service institutions receive donated foods for use in the summer meals provided in SFSP in an efficient and cost-effective manner.

These questions and answers provide clarification on the implementation of Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program provisions in the Food, Conservation, and Energy Act of 2008.

The guidance provided by these policy memoranda has been incorporated in the newly revised FNS Instruction 716-4, Administrative Budget Negotiation Guidance for the Food Distribution Program in Indian Reservations and the Food Distribution Program for Indian Households in Oklahoma.

This policy memorandum contains guidance to Senior Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program state agencies regarding the Economic Stimulus Act of 2008 that provides rebates to many low and middle-income households.

Form FNS-667 is used by state agencies to report use of TEFAP administrative funds.  

Form FNS-57 is used by consignees to report overages and shortages in a shipment and commodities damaged in transit.

This instruction establishes uniform policy for regional offices to follow in negotiating annual administrative budgets with the Indian Tribal Organizations and state agencies that administer the Food Distribution Program on Indian Reservations and Food Distribution Program for Indian Households in Oklahoma.
