The collection of information is necessary for people to attend Produce Safety University, a training course designed to help child nutrition professionals identify and manage food safety risks associated with fresh produce.

This collection is a new collection for notification of Produce Safety University annual training to state agencies and nomination of participants to attend Produce Safety University.

This is a revision of a currently approved collection. This collection is the voluntary submission of data including nutrient data from the food industry to update and expand the Child Nutrition (CN) Database in support of the Child Nutrition Act of 1966.

The Departments of Agriculture and Health and Human Services announce the first meeting of the newly appointed 2020 Dietary Guidelines Advisory Committee. This meeting will be open to the public. The final rule entitled School Food Safety Program Based on Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point Principles (HACCP) was published on Dec. 15, 2009, which implemented a legislative provision requiring school food authorities participating in the National School Lunch Program (NSLP) or the School Breakfast Program (SBP) to develop a school food safety program for the preparation and service of school meals served to children.

This final rule adopts without change the food safety inspections requirements for the National School Lunch Program and the School Breakfast Program set forth in a previous interim rule issued by the Food and Nutrition Service as a result of the Child Nutrition and WIC Reauthorization Act of 2004. 

This document announces approval of the information collection requirements for the final rule entitled Management of Donated Foods in Child Nutrition Programs, the Nutrition Services Incentive Program and Charitable Institutions. 

This final rule revises and clarifies requirements for the management, distribution, and use of donated foods in the National School Lunch Program and other child nutrition programs, in the Nutrition Services Incentive Program, and by charitable institutions.

The Child Nutrition and WIC Reauthorization Act of 2004 requires school food authorities participating in the National School Lunch Program (NSLP) or the School Breakfast Program (SBP) to implement a school food safety program for the preparation and service of school meals served to children.
