FNS is cancelling Policy Memoranda FD-010, FD-027, FD-028, FD-029, FD-032, FD-053, FD-055, FD-071, FD-073, FD-074, FD-083, FD-086, FD-087, FD-090, FD-105, and FD-115. The guidance provided by these memoranda are either outdated, obsolete, or otherwise captured in more current memoranda.

The CSFP Enhanced Food Package goes into effect Nov. 1, 2019. This webinar covers transition updates regarding direct shipment purchase status’ and food availability from the National Warehouses including when to expect new foods and package sizes to be available for multi-food ordering. In addition, live attendees were given the opportunity to ask any additional questions before implementing the enhanced food package.

Staff who operate USDA Foods programs and participants often use this information to help prepare healthy meals. Each product information sheet includes a description of the USDA Foods product, storage tips, nutrition facts, and recipes that use the product.
This webinar provides USDA Foods recipients, USDA FNS regional offices, and state agencies a refresher on the FNS Instruction 709-5: Shipment and Receipt of USDA Foods. The webinar highlights the five key areas involved with the shipment and receipt of USDA Foods: arranging shipment and delivery, guidance on inspecting the shipment, accepting and receipting the shipment, unloading the shipment, and disposition and replacement of USDA Foods. In addition, E-invoicing in WBSCM and filing complaints is covered.
In February 2019, USDA announced changes to the monthly food package that will be implemented beginning November 1, 2019. This webinar will focus on the new options and flexibilities within each category and provide guidance about how to plan for a successful transition. To help states and local sites adjust their inventory and orders to implement the changes on November 1, USDA will provide a demo of the recently released Food Package Ordering Tool.
The USDA Food and Nutrition Service is making significant revisions to the Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP) food package in response to feedback from the CSFP community. This is the first of a series of webinars that will help CSFP state and local agencies prepare to implement the food package changes.
The Commodity Supplemental Food Program works to improve the health of low-income elderly persons at least 60 years of age by supplementing their diets with nutritious USDA Foods. Children who were certified and receiving CSFP benefits as of Feb. 6, 2014, can continue to receive assistance until they are no longer eligible under the program rules.
