This memorandum transmits the 2024 income guidelines for state agencies and tribes in determining the eligibility of individuals applying to participate in CSFP.

This memorandum provides the information needed to conduct the FY 2024 reallocation of State Administrative Expense (SAE) funds.  All state agencies must submit an SAE Funds Reallocation Report (FNS-525) to their respective FNS regional office by March 1, 2024, even if the state agency is neither requesting nor returning funds.

This notice invites the general public to comment on this proposed revision to the currently approved information collection for the SNAP-Ed Intervention Scoring Tool (FNS–885) and the SNAP Education Intervention Submission Form (FNS–886). 

FNS is committed to increasing access to SNAP, one of the most powerful tools available to ensure low-income people have access to healthy food. Program informational activities, or SNAP outreach activities, are a critical tool to ensure vulnerable populations are aware of the availability, eligibility requirements, application procedures, and benefits of SNAP.

FNS will collect information to determine the eligibility of retail food stores, wholesale food concern, and food service organizations applying for authorization to accept and redeem SNAP benefits and to monitor these firms for continued eligibility.

This memo provides reporting guidance for the FNS-640 report beginning with reporting for school year (SY) 2018-19 due March 1, 2020.
