This memorandum addresses inventory limitations and requirements that USDA Foods processors must follow when manufacturing processed end products for use in child nutrition programs.

This is Part One of a three-part webinar series that explains the USDA Foods Complaint Process. In this Dec. 11, 2015, webinar, Andre Orange and Tony Wilkins of the Food Distribution Division provide an overview of the USDA Foods complaint process.

The purpose of this memorandum is to advise you of a new and revised requirement for all Receiving Organizations (i.e., organizations that receive shipments of Department of Agriculture (USDA) Foods, including Distributing Agencies, Indian Tribal Organizations (ITO), recipient agencies, processors, and warehouses). This memorandum replaces the previous FD-062 dated April 25, 2011 , and adjusts the maximum timeframe for entering shipment receipts in the Web-Based Supply Chain Management System.

This memo, which addresses commodity book inventory reduction at further processors. has been superseded by the July 16, 2021 memo, FD-40: Inventory Drawdown in USDA Foods Processing (Revised).
