Under this waiver, Summer Food Service Program operators in states that elect to be subject to this waiver may serve meals outside of the standard meal times during unanticipated school closures in SY 2021-22. FNS is granting a waiver of certain fiscal action requirements in the National School Lunch Program and the School Breakfast Program. This waiver is available for any state where there is a supply chain disruption with respect to foods served under such a qualified program and such disruption is due to COVID–19.
The purpose of this CMCS Informational Bulletin is to inform state Medicaid agencies that the USDA Food and Nutrition Service (FNS) is issuing a solicitation for participation in additional demonstration projects for states to evaluate the impact of using Medicaid eligibility data to directly certify students for free and reduced price school meals.
The Food and Nutrition Service published a document on July 16, 2021, concerning reimbursement rates for the National School Lunch, Special Milk, and School Breakfast Programs. The document contained an incorrect table entry.
This is a request for information from stakeholders, including local operators, state administrators, industry and producers, about the Buy American provision in the National School Lunch Program and the School Breakfast Program. The programs play a critical role in ensuring that America's children have access to nutritious food they need to learn and succeed in the classroom, in addition to supporting American agriculture, and small, minority, and women's businesses and agricultural producers.

This notice announces the annual adjustments to the national average payments, the amount of money the federal government provides states for lunches, afterschool snacks, and breakfasts served to children participating in the National School Lunch and School Breakfast Programs; to the maximum reimbursement rates, the maximum per lunch rate from federal funds that a state can provide a school food authority for lunches served to children participating in the National School Lunch Program; and to the rate of reimbursement for a half-pint of milk served to non-needy children in a school or institution that participates in the Special Milk Program for Children.
This memorandum includes questions and answers to provide clarification to state agencies, emergency shelters, and emergency shelters that operate at-risk after school care centers regarding meals and snacks served to young adults in the Child and Adult Care Food Program.
The purpose of this memorandum is to distribute $30 million provided by the Consolidated Appropriations Act 2021 to state agencies to competitively award Equipment Assistance Grants to eligible school food authorities participating in the NSLP.
