This final rule considers public comments submitted in response to the proposed rule revising the WIC food packages published on Nov. 21, 2022.
Little is known about the food safety risks associated with the various production methods by which schools prepare and serve food to students. Given this, the Center for Food Safety in Child Nutrition Programs at Kansas State University conducted a study.
This rulemaking serves to amend WIC program regulations by incorporating provisions of the Access to Baby Formula Act of 2022 and making related amendments.
In July of 2022, the Access to Baby Formula Act of 2022 was signed into law.
