This final national caseload level ensures that resources are sufficient to provide full food packages to participants throughout the caseload cycle. FNS is allocating final caseload and administrative grants for 2024 to CSFP state agencies, including indian tribal organizations and U.S. territories.

The USDA Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS) will discontinue the requirement for vendors to use high security seals to secure USDA Foods deliveries as of July 1, 2023. 

This request for approval of information collection is necessary to obtain input into the development of nutrition education interventions for population groups served by FNS. Collection of this information will increase FNS' ability to formulate nutrition education interventions that resonate with the intended target population, particularly low-income families.

The 2021 CSFP Allocation Memorandum includes the 2021 caseload allocations for state agencies and Indian Tribal Organizations based on FY 2020 participation and the level of funding provided in the FY 2021 appropriations. 

School food authorities participating in the School Breakfast Program may continue to credit any vegetable offered, including potatoes and other starchy vegetables, in place of fruit without including vegetables from other subgroups in the weekly menus, through June 30, 2021.

FNS issued memorandum SP 07-2019 on Nov. 30, 2018. This memorandum provided information regarding the delay of the fiscal action process due to state agency reported errors associated with the SY 2018-2019 Fiscal Action Workbook.

FNS is pleased to announce the release of the fiscal year 2019 request for applications to invite state agencies that administer the National School Lunch and School Breakfast programs to apply for FY 2019 Administrative Review and Training Grants.

This memo provides SY 2016-17 reporting guidance for the FNS-640 report. The FNS-640 report form is scheduled to be available in the Food Programs Reporting System in January 2018. The attached revised instructions and business rules/edit checks supersede the instructions that were released with memorandum SP 25-2017, FNS-640: Administrative Review Report Form and Instructions.

This memorandum addresses questions recently raised by state agencies regarding the FNS requirement to apply fiscal action school food authority-wide and assists state agencies in completing administrative reviews of SFAs in school year 2016-17. 

This memorandum provides an overview of the redesign of the FNS-640 Administrative Review Report and provides information regarding FNS-640 instructions, system updates and upcoming activities. The FNS-640 is scheduled to be available in the Food Program Reporting System by January 2018.
