Pursuant to section 2202(a) of the Families First Coronavirus Response Act and in light of the exceptional circumstances of this public health emergency, FNS is extending a nationwide waiver to support access to nutritious meals while minimizing potential exposure to the novel coronavirus (COVID–19).

FNS is extending a nationwide waiver to help minimize potential exposure to the novel coronavirus (COVID-19). This extension of Nationwide Waiver of Onsite Monitoring Requirements for Sponsoring Organizations in the Summer Food Service Program applies to monitoring of schools and institutions operating Summer Food Service Program.

FNS is granting a nationwide waiver of the 60-day reporting requirements to help minimize potential exposure to the novel coronavirus. This waiver applies to the National School Lunch Program, School Breakfast Program, Special Milk Program, Child and Adult Food Care Program and Summer Food Service Program.

This memorandum includes questions and answers intended to provide clarification to state agencies and program operators as they transition from unanticipated school closure operations to traditional Summer Food Service Program or National School Lunch Program Seamless Summer Option operations.

This extension of Nationwide Waiver to Allow Meal Pattern Flexibility in the child nutrition programs, issued March 25, 2020, applies to the National School Lunch Program, School Breakfast Program, Child and Adult Care Food Program and Summer Food Service Program. This waiver remains in effect until June 30, 2020.

This waiver applies to the National School Lunch Program, School Breakfast Program and Child and Adult Care Food Program. This waiver remains in effect through Aug. 31, 2020.

In response to the COVID–19 Child Nutrition Response Act, and based on the exceptional circumstances of this public health emergency, USDA established a nationwide waiver of congregate feeding requirements to support access to nutritious meals while minimizing potential exposure to the novel coronavirus (COVID–19). This waiver applies to the NSLP, SBP, CACFP and SFSP. This waiver remains in effect until Aug. 31, 2020.

This memorandum includes questions and answers intended to provide clarification to state agencies and program operators on the nationwide waivers for the Summer Food Service Program and National School Lunch Program Seamless Summer Option.  

This waiver delays the transition from National School Lunch Seamless Summer Option and Summer Food Service Program operations during unanticipated school closures associated with the Coronavirus pandemic to traditional SSO and SFSP operations through June 30, 2020.
