Pursuant to section 2202(a) of the FFCRA, FNS is establishing a nationwide opt-in waiver to help minimize the impact of coronavirus related school closures on USDA Foods entitlement calculations. 

The revised policy memo requires supplemental reporting from processors and requires state verification of credits provided by the processor to the SFA. This memorandum clarifies how SNAP benefits should be treated in determining eligibility for CSFP and TEFAP when the benefits are provided through SNAP Pilot Projects or SNAP Work Programs.

This memorandum provides clarification regarding payments made to individuals under PL 101-426, the Radiation Exposure Compensation Act, as amended. Those payments shall not be counted as income or resources for the purpose of determining eligibility for participation in FDPIR.
