The purpose of this memorandum is to highlight state flexibilities and local choices for complying with the five-day reconciliation requirement in the Child and Adult Care Food Program.

This memorandum explains the grain requirements for the CACFP established in the final rule, “Child and Adult Care Food Program: Meal Pattern Revisions Related to the Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act of 2010.” This revision further clarifies how to determine if a grain product meets the whole grain-rich criteria. 

The purpose of this information collection request is to continue the use of the electronic form FNS-674, titled “User Access Request Form.”

FNS has received many questions related to implementation of 2 CFR Part 200 and understands that changes to financial and procurement systems are costly and require time to develop and implement. Therefore, FNS will work with state agencies during this transition period and will seek to answer questions and provide guidance as needed.
