This memo establishes a nationwide waiver to support access to nutritious meals and snacks while minimizing potential exposure to COVID–19, in response to the COVID–19 Child Nutrition Response Act. This waiver applies to afterschool snacks in the National School Lunch Program and at-risk afterschool meals and snacks in the Child and Adult Care Food Program. 

Pursuant to the Families First Coronavirus Response Act and based on the exceptional circumstances of this public health emergency, FNS is establishing a nationwide waiver to support access to nutritious meals while minimizing potential exposure to the novel coronavirus (COVID– 19).

In light of the exceptional circumstances of this public health emergency, FNS is granting a nationwide waiver  of onsite monitoring requirements for state agencies in the Child and Adult Care Food Program to help minimize potential exposure to the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).

This webinar will focus on how CACFP operators can identify grain-based desserts, and use this knowledge to plan menus that meet program requirements.
