The memorandum clarifies policy on quarterly reporting, and expands the kinds of changes that states can allow recipients to report quarterly, rather than when they occur.

This memo clarifies that any time all members of a household receive benefits under a program for needy families funded primarily through Temporary Assistance for Needy Families, whether cash or other benefits such as services, the TANF resource rules apply and thus an income eligible working family can both own a car and obtain food stamps.

As you know, Food and Nutrition Service has been working closely with our many partners and stakeholders to improve service to working families. We are pleased to announce the Administration’s approval of an Agency policy initiative which will enhance program access for low-income working families.

The Child Nutrition Reauthorization Act of 1998  requires CACFP state agencies to distribute WIC benefits and eligibility standards information to child care centers and each family and group day care home.

This memorandum provides guidance for state agencies to use regarding the participation of emergency shelters which serve homeless children and their families in the Child and Adult Care Food Program and the Summer Food Service Program.

This memorandum addresses a broad range of issues regarding outreach strategies that WIC state and local agencies are encouraged to undertake to assist in identifying, educating, and referring uninsured children to and/or facilitate their enrollment in CHIP or Medicaid.

This policy memorandum clarifies the impact of the new Children's Health Insurance Program on WIC adjunct income eligibility.

The purpose of this policy memorandum is to highlight and strengthen national program policy regarding integrity in the WIC certification process through existing regulatory requirements as well as through new legislative requirements mandated by PL 105-336.

We are providing the information in this memorandum because we believe these two resources have potential for adding nutrition, value and variety to Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) meals.
