This letter provides key information about a change in the way the Department of Homeland Security is administering the public charge ground of inadmissibility.

This letter is an update to the April 12, 2021 letter that USCIS issued concerning public charge and how it interacts with the food assistance programs, including SNAP.

The purpose of the FDPIR Food Package Review Work Group is to review the FDPIR food package on an ongoing basis, with the goal of revising it to better meet the nutritional needs and food preferences of program participants without significantly increasing overall food package costs.

This agreement sets out the requirements for administering the child nutrition programs and the food distribution programs.

The USDA DoD Fresh program allows schools and ITOs to buy fresh produce. The program is operated by the Defense Logistics Agency at DoD.
