The American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 (PL 117-2), provided additional funding for the CSFP. This memorandum provides information on this additional funding in the form of additional caseload allocations.

FDD has received several complaints recently about dried fruit and grain products that became infested in storage. Therefore, it is imperative that dried fruit and grain products are distributed to the end user as soon as possible after receipt from the vendor to avoid problems with infestation.

This memorandum serves to clarify the treatment of income intended for the care of a foster child when determining eligibility for participation in the CSFP.
