Thank you to everyone who submitted a photo for the 2017 Show Us Your Tray Photo Contest! We received hundreds of submissions from schools throughout the United States, and USDA staff assessed each entry for use of USDA Foods, creativity, and overall photo quality. We enjoyed viewing the many worthy and inspiring photos, and narrowing them down to one winner was a difficult task!
This notice announces the surplus and purchased foods that the Department expects to make available for donation to states for use in providing nutrition assistance to the needy under TEFAP in FY 2019. The foods made available under this notice must, at the discretion of the state, be distributed to eligible recipient agencies for use in preparing meals and/or for distribution to households for home consumption.

We received over 250 submissions from school districts across the nation showing us how they creatively use USDA Foods. This year, we created four different categories to highlight USDA Foods across all food groups. The competition was tough but everyone should be proud of the effort they put into making school meals healthy, kid-approved, and delicious.
