These SNAP and Food Stamp Program Quality Control annual reports present official quality control error rates and other statistical data derived from SNAP QC reviews conducted for each fiscal year.

Case and procedural error rates assesses the accuracy of state agency actions in cases in which applicants were denied, terminated, or suspended and did not receive benefits. 

This information, effective as of FY 2024 case reviews, is being collected to assist the Food and Nutrition Service with SNAP's Quality Control Reviews. This is a mandatory collection and FNS uses the information for program monitoring, evaluation, corrective action, and characteristics.

The market basket costs in the Thrifty Food Plan, 2021 apply to the contiguous 48 states and the District of Columbia. By law, the USDA must make cost adjustments to the Thrifty Food Plan to reflect the cost of food in Alaska and Hawaii. The Thrifty Food Plan Cost Estimates for Alaska and Hawaii report provides updated estimates of the June 2022 cost of the reevaluated Thrifty Food Plan in Alaska and Hawaii.

The retailer data end of year summaries contain important information about compliance activity and violators of the program rules.

This document provides the initial study plan for the reevaluation of the Thrifty Food Plan, 2026. This initial study plan is based on information available as of April 2023. The USDA, FNS intends to publish a final study plan by early 2026.

This report is required under provisions of 7 CFR 275.14 (SNAP). This information is needed for the review of state performance in determining the eligibility of applicants and recipients. The information is used to determine state compliance, and failure to report may result in a finding of non-compliance.
