Policy Memorandum FD-082, Responsibilities for Claims for Food Losses (dated Dec. 10, 2008) is cancelled. The guidance provided by this policy memorandum has been incorporated in FNS Instruction 410-1, Claims for Losses of Donated Foods and Related Administrative Losses-Procedures for the State Distributing Agency, as revised on Dec. 29, 2010.

Policy Memorandum No. FD-022, Adjusted Guide Rates for Fresh Fruits and Vegetables (issued June 9, 2003), is cancelled. Refer to Exhibit 0 of FNS Handbook 501 for the current guide rates for fresh produce.

This policy memorandum consolidates requirements for the SDA when reporting the distribution of donated foods, and when requesting the replacement of such foods, in disasters, emergencies and situations of distress. 

The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 created the Filipino Veterans Equity Compensation Fund for certain veterans, or surviving spouses of veterans, who served in the military of the Government of the Commonwealth of the Philippines during World War II and directs the Secretary of Veterans Affairs to provide one time payments of up to $15,000 to eligible persons.
