New Hampshire Disaster Nutrition Assistance

Incident: Severe Wind and Rain Storms

When: Began Oct. 30, 2017

Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program
  • On Nov. 6, 2017, FNS approved New Hampshire's request for timely household reporting of food loss for the state, excluding the unaffected towns of Ashland, Harts Location, Monroe, and Windsor. This waiver approval allowed households that suffered power outages due to severe wind and rain storms to make a request at their local office for replacement of SNAP benefits through Nov. 22, 2017. These replacement SNAP benefits allowed households to replace food lost as a result of the storms.
