Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Programs (SNAP)
- On Sept. 12, 2020, FNS approved Illinois's request to waive timely reporting of food loss for households in the City of Harvey, Illinois. This waiver approval allowed households to make a request for replacement of SNAP benefits through Sept. 11, 2020, as a result of power outages that began on Aug. 10, 2020. The waiver will be in effect, retroactively, for those households which made requests through Sept. 11, 2020.
