Replacement of Stolen Benefits

Contact your state agency to report stolen SNAP benefits.

For retroactive claims, you have 90 calendar days after the state has started their plan (Sept. 5, 2023) to submit an initial report, and then 10 more calendar days to submit a retroactive claim form. Submit regular claims within 30 calendar days of discovering theft. Submit reports and claims by mail, fax, online, or in-person at local offices. The state has 10 calendar days to validate the claim.

Benefit Availability: Benefits for approved claims are issued within 10 calendar days after claim approval. You must replace your card.
