Replacement of Stolen Benefits
Contact your state agency to report stolen SNAP benefits.
Households have 90 calendar days after the state has started their plan (June 19, 2023) to submit a retroactive claim. Submit regular claims within 45 calendar days of date of theft. Submit claims by mail, fax, phone, or in-person at local offices. The state has 20 business days to validate a retroactive claim, and 10 business days for a regular claim.
Benefit Availability: Benefits for approved claims are issued by 5:00 AM on the day after the claim is approved and authorized. You must replace your card.

Report theft within 30 calendar days of discovering and submit a claim form within 10 business days after report. Report theft by phone. Submit claims by mail, fax, or in-person at local offices. The state has 30 calendar days to validate the claim.
Benefit Availability: Benefits for approved claims are issued immediately upon claim approval. You must replace your card.
