Replacement of Stolen Benefits

Contact your state agency to report stolen SNAP benefits.

Households have 90 calendar days after the state has started their plan (July 17, 2023) to submit a retroactive claim. Report theft within 30 calendar days of discovering and submit a claim form within 10 calendar days after report. Report theft and submit claims by phone, email, or in-person at local offices (online option available in the future). The state has 10 business days after reported loss, or 2 business days after claim submission (whichever is later) to validate the claim.

Benefit Availability: Benefits for approved claims are issued within 10 business days after report date or 2 business days after claim submission (whichever is later). You must replace your card.
