Replacement of Stolen Benefits
Contact your state agency to report stolen SNAP benefits.
Households have 60 calendar days after the state has started their plan (July 3, 2023) to submit a retroactive claim. Submit regular claims within 30 days of discovering theft. Report theft by phone or in-person at local offices. Submit claims by mail, email, phone or in-person at local offices. The state has 20 business days (10 days for county and 10 days for state) to validate the claim.
Benefit Availability: Benefits for approved claims are issued within 10 business days after claim approval. You must replace your card.

Report theft within 30 calendar days of discovering and submit a claim form within 10 calendar days after the report. Report theft and submit claim forms by phone, mail, email, fax, or in-person at local offices. The state has 30 calendar days after initial report to validate the claim.
Benefit Availability: Benefits for approved claims are issued the day following claim approval. You must replace your card.
