Replacement of Stolen Benefits
Contact your state agency to report stolen SNAP benefits.
Households that previously notified the state will receive a letter, and have 30 days to file a retroactive claim. Other households will have 30 days after the state publishes information about the replacement of stolen benefits process to file a retroactive claim. Report theft within 10 calendar days of discovering and submit a claim form within 10 more calendar days. Report theft by phone, email, mail, fax, or in-person at local offices. Submit claims by mail, fax, email, or in-person at local offices. The state has 10 calendar days after date of theft report, or date of claim submission (whichever is later) to validate the claim.
Benefit Availability: Benefits for approved claims are issued within 10 calendar days after date of report of loss or date of claim submission (whichever is later). You must replace your card.

Submit claims by mail, online (in certain districts), or in-person at local offices. The state has 30 calendar days to validate the claim.
Benefit Availability: Benefits for approved claims are issued within 30 calendar days after claim submission. You must replace your card.
