The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) Employment and Training (E&T) Plan Handbook provides guidance to state agencies administering and operating the SNAP E&T program on how to prepare and submit their annual plan to FNS for approval. Section 6 of the Food and Nutrition Act of 2008, as amended, (the Act) provides that each state shall implement an employment and training program for the purpose of assisting members of SNAP households in gaining skills, training, work or experience that will increase their ability to obtain regular employment. This guidance highlights E&T state plan requirements and supersedes all prior SNAP E&T Plan Handbooks and guidance.
