Find Meals for Kids When Schools are Closed

FNS launched an online tool – the “Meals 4 Kids” Site Finder – to support children while schools are closed for the summer. Families can use this interactive map, in English and Spanish, to get directions, hours of operation and contact information.

Replacing Stolen SNAP Benefits: State Plan Approvals

Congress passed a law in late 2022 to help SNAP participants who are victims of card skimming, cloning and other similar methods. To implement this new law, states are working quickly to develop and implement processes to help people whose SNAP benefits were stolen seek and obtain relief. Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program: Allocation of Funds for FY 2024

This memorandum provides the total funding amount available to FNS to distribute to state agencies, which is $252.6 million for FY 2024. This includes $219.6 million in new funds available under Section 19 of the National School Lunch Act, which is the prior year base amount adjusted for inflation, and an additional $33 million in unexpired carryover funds from previous years.
