This is a revision of a currently approved information collection that was formerly titled “The Integrity Profile (TIP) Data Collection.”

The purpose of this information collection is to provide information on the implementation and effectiveness of modernization projects across all 88 Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) state agencies to help identify successes, opportunities for improvement, and areas for additional support from FNS to strengthen project implementation.

FNS collects information from state and local agencies, applicants, and retail vendors to determine eligibility in the WIC program. This ongoing information collection is mandatory for state agencies and required to obtain or retain benefits for the WIC participants.
FNS uses the information to assess how each FMNP state agency operates; to ensure the accountability of state agencies, local agencies, and farmers/farmers' markets/roadside stands; to make program management decisions; and to report to Congress as needed.
