FNS is issuing this memorandum to notify WIC state agencies that the WIC Policy Memorandum #2011-6, Authority to Exceed the Maximum Amount of Liquid Infant Formula, dated June 1, 2011, is cancelled.
WIC Policy Memorandum #2017-1, New MIS Guidelines and Revised Procedures for EBT and MIS Grant Funding, dated Oct. 18, 2016, is cancelled.
This memorandum provides guidance for all State agencies administering the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children (WIC) related to the issuance, acceptance, and confirmation of Verification of Certification (VOC) when a WIC participant moves from one service delivery area to another, particularly in the case of participants that move from one State to another.
The purpose of this memorandum is to notify WIC State agencies that the monthly value of the cash value voucher (CVV) for fruits and vegetables for pregnant, postpartum, and breastfeeding women will increase from $10 to $11 beginning in fiscal year (FY) 2016 on October 1, 2015.
This Policy Memorandum is being issued in response to the Fiscal Year (FY) 2013 audit by USDA’s Office of Inspector General (OIG), State Agencies’ Food Costs for the Food and Nutrition Service’s Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (Audit #27004-0001-22).
