FNS Documents & Resources
The primary objective of this Handbook is to help state agencies navigate FNS requirements to secure approval, and get the requested funding, for modern eligibility systems and EBT benefit delivery services.
The FNS State Systems team has produced a series of training presentations designed to help state agencies understand and comply with the FNS approval process. These eight on-line presentations correspond to FNS Handbook 901, with information on the key documents or phases in the process.
The WIC Post-Implementation Review Tool consists of two parts: the review tool itself and a Functional Area Spreadsheet. You may download the tool here.
This policy memorandum outlines the requirements for the revised WIC Advance Planning Document (APD) process and provides additional guidance to State agencies that are interested in the transfer of a SAM system.
Information Systems (IS) in the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children (WIC Program) support a number of program operations and management functions, such as certifying applicants, monitoring food vendors, tracking participation and expenditures and managing appointments. The Functional Requirements Document for a Model WIC System (FRED) provides a comprehensive description of functions that can be automated to support the WIC Program.
The purpose of the memorandum is to set forth policy in the APD process for the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC Program). These policy changes and/or clarifications should lessen the burden of the current WIC APD process, and are effective immediately.
This memorandum presents FNS' position on Women, Infants and Children (WIC) Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) system development approaches and funding support.
