The Food and Nutrition Service published a document in the Federal Register of Jan. 6, 2023, concerning reimbursement rates for meals served in the Summer Food Service Program for Children. The document contained an incorrect table heading.
These Federal Register notices inform the public of the annual adjustments to the reimbursement rates for meals served in the SFSP.
FNS is correcting regulations that published in a final rule in the Federal Register, and went into effect in the CFR on Oct. 1, 2022. The rule amended the SFSP regulations to strengthen program integrity by clarifying, simplifying, and streamlining program administration to facilitate compliance with program requirements.
This is an ongoing, voluntary information collection which is used by FNS to update the USDA National Hunger Clearinghouse. FNS collects information about the summer meal sites from state agencies using FNS-905. This form collects the site name, location, and operating details about the summer meal sites, such as dates and times of site operation.
