In February 2019, USDA announced changes to the monthly food package that will be implemented beginning November 1, 2019. This webinar will focus on the new options and flexibilities within each category and provide guidance about how to plan for a successful transition. To help states and local sites adjust their inventory and orders to implement the changes on November 1, USDA will provide a demo of the recently released Food Package Ordering Tool.
The USDA Food and Nutrition Service is making significant revisions to the Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP) food package in response to feedback from the CSFP community. This is the first of a series of webinars that will help CSFP state and local agencies prepare to implement the food package changes.
The CSFP Food Package enhancements will be implemented starting November 1, 2019. States and local sites have many things to think about before November.
Join us for this webinar to hear from three state and local agencies who will talk about the things they are doing to prepare for the changes. USDA staff will also address some common questions about the enhanced food package.
This notice invites the general public and other public agencies to comment on this proposed information collection. This collection is an extension, without change, of a currently approved collection. This collection allows for Food Distribution Programs, such as the National School Lunch Program (NSLP), the Food Distribution Program on Indian Reservations (FDPIR), the Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP), and The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP), to run effectively.
This Instruction establishes the general standards and procedures that the state distributing agency (SDA), Indian Tribal Organization (ITO), or other consignee must follow in receiving shipments of USDA Foods, and conveys established responsibilities for other entities such as USDA Foods vendors and carriers.
