State Guidance on Coronavirus P-EBT

USDA is committed to providing nutrition assistance to hard-hit families across the country due to the coronavirus pandemic. In support of President Biden’s call to action on hunger, USDA announced that it is increasing the Pandemic EBT benefit by approximately 15 percent, providing more money for low-income families and millions of children missing meals due to school and child care closures.

SNAP COVID-19 Emergency Allotments Guidance

USDA has issued guidance to states in implementing Families First Coronavirus Response Act of 2020 which provides for the issuance of emergency allotments (supplements) based on a public health emergency declaration by the Secretary of Health and Human Services under the Public Health Service Act related to an outbreak of COVID-19 when a state has also issued an emergency or disaster declaration.

WIC Farmers' Market Nutrition Program

The FMNP is associated with the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children, generally known as WIC. The WIC program provides supplemental foods, health care referrals and nutrition education; including, breastfeeding promotion and support at no cost to low-income pregnant, breastfeeding and non-breastfeeding postpartum women, and to infants and children up to 5 years of age, who are found to be at nutritional risk.
