This webinar is for states who are currently using, or are interested in applying for, the USDA DoD Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program in the Summer Food Service Program (SFSP). We share tools and best practices to assist state agencies, SFSP sponsors, and SFSP sites in using their resources to provide fresh fruits and vegetables to SFSP participants during the summer months.

PL 109-163 made the Department of Defense’s Family Subsistence Supplemental Allowance permanently available.
In accordance with the Child Nutrition and WIC Reauthorization Act of 2004, the housing allowance for military personnel living in privatized housing will be permanently excluded from income when determining household eligibility for free and reduced price meals or free milk in all of the child nutrition programs.
On March 31, 2004, the President signed PL 108-211 that continues appropriations for the Child Nutrition Programs and extends several provisions that were to expire on March 31, 2004.
On Nov. 22, 2003, PL 108-134 was enacted. This law continues appropriations for the child nutrition programs and extends several provisions that were to expire on Nov. 21, 2003.
This certification is required by the regulations implementing Executive Order 12549, Debarment and Suspension, 7 CFR part 3017, Section 3017.510, Participants' responsibilities. The regulations were published as Part IV of the Jan. 30, 1989, Federal Register (pages 4722-4733).
