This information collection addresses the recordkeeping burden associated with forms FNS–292A (Report of Commodity Distribution for Disaster Relief) and FNS–292B (Report of Disaster Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Benefit Issuance).
USDA FNS is proposing to add a new system of records, entitled USDA/FNS–13, Mercury, which is a Consumer Off the Shelf workflow system designed to automate the correspondence tracking and management process within FNS.

The purpose is to give states and ITO agencies one portal for the various reporting required for the programs that the states and ITOs operate. The data collected is used for a variety of purposes; mainly program evaluation, planning, audits, funding, research, regulatory compliance and general statistics.
