The purpose of this Request for Information is to help FNS gather feedback from a wide variety of stakeholders on how FNS' crediting system can best address today's evolving food and nutrition environment, as well as to offer first-rate customer service to those operating and benefitting from the child nutrition programs.

PART 225—Summer Food Service Program
This part establishes the regulations under which the Secretary will administer a Summer Food Service Program.
PART 235—State Administrative Expense Funds
This part established the responsibilities of state agencies, Food and Nutrition Service regional offices, school food authorities or local educational agencies, as defined in §245.2, as applicable in providing free and reduced price meals and free milk in the National School Lunch Program (7 CFR part 210), the School Breakfast Program (7 CFR part 220), the Special Milk Program (SMP) for Children (7 CFR part 215), and commodity schools. Section 9 of the National School Lunch Act, as amended, and sections 3 and 4 of the Child Nutrition Act of 1966, as amended, require schools participating in any of the programs and commodity schools to make available, as applicable, free and reduced price lunches, breakfasts, and at the option of the School Food Authority for schools participating only in the Special Milk Program (SMP) free milk to eligible children.
Comment Request - Summer Meals Study
The purpose of the Summer Meals Study is for the Food and Nutrition Service to understand the facilitators and barriers to program implementation, perceived benefits and challenges for sponsor and site participation, nutritional quality of meals served, parental awareness, factors influencing child participation, and experience with the Summer Food Service Program and the National School Lunch Program's Seamless Summer Option.

The manual provides comprehensive information on federal requirements, policies, and procedures, and is intended to help state agencies and local educational agencies accurately determine, certify, and verify children’s eligibility for free and reduced price school meals and free milk.
Modifications to Accommodate Disabilities in CACFP and SFSP
This memorandum outlines the requirements for CACFP institutions and facilities and Summer Food Service Program sponsors (program operators) to provide reasonable modifications to program meals or the meal service to accommodate children or adults (participants) with disabilities.
Comment Request - Study of School Food Authority Procurement Practices
This collection is a new information collection for the Study of School Food Authority Procurement Practices. This study is intended to describe and assess the practices of SFAs related to procuring goods and services for school meal programs, and to better understand how SFAs make decisions that lead to these procurement practices.
