This information, effective as of FY 2024 case reviews, is being collected to assist the Food and Nutrition Service with SNAP's Quality Control Reviews. This is a mandatory collection and FNS uses the information for program monitoring, evaluation, corrective action, and characteristics.

The 2014 Farm Bill authorized up to $200 million for the development, implementation, and evaluation of up to 10 pilot projects designed to reduce dependency and increase work effort under SNAP. The market basket costs in the Thrifty Food Plan, 2021 apply to the contiguous 48 states and the District of Columbia. This memorandum provides the FY 2024 Cost-of-Living Adjustments to the SNAP maximum allotments, income eligibility standards, and deductions. Under the Food and Nutrition Act of 2008, COLAs are effective as of Oct. 1, 2023.
