Information Collection: SNAP Mobile Payment Pilots

In accordance with the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995, this notice invites the general public and other public agencies to comment on the proposed information collection. This is a request for a new collection to conduct demonstration pilot projects to test the redemption of SNAP benefits through mobile payment technologies and issue a request for volunteers to solicit applications from SNAP state agencies for these pilots.

SNAP – Fiscal Year 2022 Cost-of-Living Adjustments

This memorandum provides the federal FY 2022 Cost-of-Living Adjustments (COLA) to the SNAP maximum allotments for the 48 contiguous states and D.C., Alaska, Hawaii, Guam, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Under the Food and Nutrition Act of 2008, COLAs are effective as of Oct. 1, 2021.

Use of Virtual D-SNAP Operations in Remainder of FY 2021 and FY 2022

FNS expects virtual Disaster Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (D-SNAP) operations may be needed through the remainder of FY 2021 and FY 2022. FNS will continue to review requests to use virtual operations on a case-by-case basis when a state submits a D-SNAP waiver request. States are encouraged to use the attached best practices for any future virtual D-SNAPs.

Pandemic EBT – Summer 2021

In an effort to make the distribution of P-EBT benefits to eligible children as efficient as possible, USDA has developed a simple P-EBT summer plan template. The template allows states to elect a USDA-determined standard benefit that relieves states of the burden of determining their own benefit levels based on state-specific school district calendars.
