A brief overview of the resources contained in the Verification Toolkit, as well as a detailed walk-through outlining a few options for beginning verification before October 1. A highlight of the potential benefits for school food authorities (SFA). The toolkit features a collection of resources that SFAs can use to leverage their efforts towards improving verification response rates and enhancing the overall efficiency of the verification process.
These resources were developed by FNS with extensive input from state and local officials from around the country. They were also informed by two years of collaborative research between FNS and the Office of Evaluation Science’s Social & Behavioral Sciences Team, work with state and local officials, and through a public contest hosted on Challenge.gov.
