Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Programs (SNAP)
On May 31, 2019, FNS approved the Oklahoma Department of Human Services request to waive timely reporting of food loss for households in the state of Oklahoma. This waiver approval will allow affected households throughout the state to make a request for replacement of SNAP benefits through June 28, 2019. These replacement SNAP benefits will allow households to replace food lost due to power outages and flooding caused by severe weather that began on May 1, 2019.
State agencies are responsible for requesting and operating the Disaster Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (D-SNAP).
