SNAP Monthly Benefit Issuance Schedule
 

NEW JERSEY Benefits are generally made available over the first five calendar days of the month, based on the 7th digit of the client’s case number (CN):

Case number ends in: 1 or 2 = benefits available on the 1st of the month
Case number ends in: 3 or 4 = benefits available on the 2nd of the month
Case number ends in: 5 or 6 = benefits available on the 3rd of the month
Case number ends in: 7 or 8 = benefits available on the 4th of the month
Case number ends in: 9 or 0 = benefits available on the 5th of the month

Exceptions:

* In Warren County, all benefits are made available on the 1st of the month.

* In Hudson County, benefits are made available on the 1st and 2nd of every
   month, based on the 7th digit of the client’s CN:

       7th digit of client’s CN is: 1,2,3,4, or 5 = benefits available on
           the 1st of the month
       7th digit of client’s CN is: 6,7,8,9, or 0 = benefits available on
           the 2nd of the month

* In Essex County, benefits are made available over the first 3 or 5 calendar
   days of every month, based on the entire case number:

     If the case number is equal to or greater than C250000, is equal to or
     greater than S810000, or is greater than C150000 benefits are made
     available over the first 5 calendar days of every month, based on the 7th
     digit of the case number:

       7th digit of CN is: 1 or 2 = benefits available on the 1st of the month
       7th digit of CN is: 3 or 4 = benefits available on the 2nd of the month
       7th digit of CN is: 5 or 6 = benefits available on the 3rd of the month
       7th digit of CN is: 7 or 8 = benefits available on the 4th of the month
       7th digit of CN is: 9 or 0 = benefits available on the 5th of the month

* In Essex County, if the CN begins with “S”, benefits are available
on the 3rd of the month.

If the CN is less than C250000, benefits are made available over the first 3 calendar days of every month, based on the following:

       CN is equal to or between the range C000001 - C135000 =
           benefits available on the 1st of the month
       CN is equal to or between the range C135001 - C192000 =
           benefits available on the 2nd of the month
       CN is equal to or between the range C192001 – C249999 =
           benefits available on the 3rd of the month

* In Camden County, if the CN is less than C140000 or begins with “S”, benefits are made available over the first 2 calendar days of every month, based on the same criteria as Hudson County. All other cases follow the five-day issuance schedule based on the 7th digit of the case number
