Food Stamp Program

Radio Public Service Announcements

Client: FNS
Campaign: Food Stamp Program
Length: 0:60
Title: “Husband & Wife”

SFX: Music underneath. Soft & pleasant.

JOHN: I’m not the kind of person that likes to ask for help. Some call that stubborn, I just call it me. That’s why I didn’t think about food stamps when my hours got cut back at the shop. But we have bills to pay and two growing kids at home...

SUSAN: My husband and I were pretty worried about how we would make ends meet. It’s not easy nowadays. But my friend Sara told me that she gets help from food stamps, and she said I should check it out.

JOHN: So my wife and I talked about it. My biggest question was whether we’d qualify since I still get a paycheck every week. But I made the call and since benefits are based on income, rent and other expenses, it turns out we do qualify.

SUSAN: With the help we get from food stamps I know that I can put good healthy meals on the table.

JOHN: And that gives us both peace of mind.

FEMALE ANNCR: FOOD STAMPS MAKE AMERICA STRONGER. For a free
