Food Stamp Program

Radio Public Service Announcements

Client: USDA
Campaign: Food Stamps Make America Stronger
Length: 0:60
Title: At the Market

SFX: Ambient sounds of supermarket as two shopping carts approach each other.

ALICE: Hey, Sam?

SAM: Alice! Oh, Great to see you! We sure miss you at work. Are you feeling better?

ALICE: Yeah, but the doctor says it will be awhile before I can go back to work.

SAM: Wow, it must be tough. Living on one paycheck can’t be easy.

ALICE: It’s not but at least we’re eating healthy. I found out about food stamps from one of my neighbors. I applied and qualified. That’s really helped our family.

SAM: Food stamps? You qualified even with Jeffrey working?

ALICE: Sure did. You can still get food stamps if there is a worker in the household. It depends on what your family’s income is.

SAM: Well, I’m glad you checked it out. I know you can’t wait to get back to work.

ALICE: That’s for sure but it’s good to know you can get help when you really need it.

NARRATOR: FOOD STAMPS MAKE AMERICA STRONGER. For a free information packet about food stamps, call 1-800-221-5689. That’s 1-800-221-5689.
